May 2012 Newsletter

It is an exciting time of the school year as we are rapidly approaching the end of the school year here at TLCS. The students are happy because summer is rapidly approaching, the teachers are happy because summer is rapidly approaching.  The students and teachers are both happy because the weather is starting to turn nice.  Take a look at the newsletter to see what fun and exciting things are occurring as we rapidly approach the end of the school year.

Health Screening

On Tuesday, April 3rd, TLCS will hold its yearly health screening.  All students will be assessed in the following areas: height, weight, blood pressure, vision, dental and scoliosis (fifth through ninth grades only).  This year’s health screening is being planned by a twelfth grade volunteer as her Extended Application (aka senior project) and will be carried out by trained volunteer screeners.

If parents do not wish for their student to participate in this screening, they must request exemption for their student in writing.

Weather related delay changed to closure

Triangle Lake Charter School will be closed on Thursday, March 22nd.  Enjoy your spring break, Lakers!
